2007 Thunder Road Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Issue

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram Thunder Road with 20 " Tires. It has 3000 Miles on it. I have noticed on dry pavement when testing the 4 Lock, the truck will actually stop in gear (fwd or rev) if I don't apply gas. It also moans a little. Could this be because its not broken in, probably 50 miles in 4-Lock, cold weather (20-30 Degrees F), bigger tire=more surface area=more resistance, or that you just shouldn't drive 4x4 on pavment ? Or bad transmission.

personally, i would only use 4hi on pavement only if there was extreme ice on the ground and i would still be doing 45. you must be using your 4wd alot if you already have 50 miles on 3000.

if yo drive it on dry pavement you take a huge risk in breaking something. and as far as the not moving goes its probably the tires combined with the front axle. that would make a lot of resistance and the automatic isn't fully locked when you don't give it throttle the more you push on the gas the more it hooks up.
