Haunted truck,Help

I'm new to this forum but on Camaro ones. My truck has been a great truck until lately. Now my trunk surges like crazy when stopped and the speedo goes from 0 to 30 mph. No check engine light. I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running when cold. Along with this the ABS and brake light comes on about 10 miles down the road. The idle and speedo both start as soon as the truck has started. Been going on about 2 weeks. Truck as the 4.7 with auto trans. Any ides before I take it to the dealer at $85 an hour. Of course it's outof warrenty. Has 45,000 miles.

Sell it!
Just kidding.
Welcome to the Forums. Hope one of us can help with this problem.
Sounds like a good scanner should be on your list of things to buy. Amzing little tool taht can be used for a variety of vehicles, if you can part with the dough. May turn out to be the best tool int the box, so try to buy the best you can afford. Without it, you will spend more time, and money guessing at the problems. Heak one trip to the dealership that you don't have to make, would justify the expense of a new tool. Plus it is a "new" tool. Always looking for a reason to buy a new tool.

Now solved, my Buddy's scanner showed ECM. I took it to the dealer they found moisture in cab connector and bulk head connector. Cleaned the connectors and packed with dielectric grease and I drove it home $80 lighter in my wallet. At least it made it home with no problems so far.
