TBS for 5.9L

I have replaced the plugs and added a cold air intake. Now I am getting about 13.5 MPG I have a superchips tuner on the way which should get me 2-3 more atleast. I am thinking about adding a high output ignition with new wires, cap and button which should help a tad more and also provide a little more HP and MPG.

Now the TBS, is anyone using one and did it help any and how much of a pain is it to install? Adding it to the manifold isn't hard but there ain't much room plus with the airraid its gonna be a tight fit.

what do you guys think.

thanks

Save your money buddy. There is absolutely no reason to buy one. Adding a little bit of volume to the plenum will do nothing for mileage, and unfortunately will do very little for additional power. Better to spend the money on something really important, that is up to you, as long as it is not a spacer.

if yours is like my 01 5.2 you won't be able to put one on with an aftermarket intake without a body lift to get a little more room.
