i bought this about 2 years ago and never really drove it much. on day i went down to start it up and it did nothing. you could not even hear the click when you turn the key. i tried to charge the battery but that did not help. tried to change it and still no luck. any info would be greatly appricated.

Did you just try to charge the battery then start, or jump start? If the battery is that dead it can make a difference. Also do you get any light in the dash when you turn the key to on?

Its probably your battery. If it sits for long enough, the battery can go competly dead and even if you try and charge it up, nothin will happen. That happened on my moms car. it went dead and we ended up having to buy a whole new battery for it.

if you jump start it too many times ur going to blow the alternator. just try to get a new battery.

If it didn't even click, with a good battery, it could be your starter

I'd check for power at the starter solenoid. Most likely the problem I think.

Wait they said the starter was find but had to get a new solenoid? That is part of the starter. Or was it something else?

Most likely, whatever it is you will want to disconnect the battery unless you like getting shocked.

Fords run a seperate solenoid on the fender. It's not built on the starter.

Yeah it wouldn't hurt to disconnet the battery.

So you are going to replace the relay solenoid.. and see if that works? That would create the symptoms you are experiencing if it's bad
