Question from New Kid on the Block

I have a 1997 Motorhome on a Ford chassis and have lost High Speed on the heater/AC blower motor. All the other speeds work fine. Any ideas on this issue?

What happens when you switch to high speed, no change or shuts off?

Smile New Kid

When switched to high the blower stops. If switched to a lower speed it runs normal.

its probably the blower resistor. most common cause anyways. not sure where it is located on your rig though.

I'd check for a loose wire since the high speed essentially bypasses the resistor, either at the resistor or at switch. I'll try and find you a diagram.

yeah check for a wire that came off the back of the rheostat(the resistor). if that isnt visible, test for voltage to see if you have an internal failure of the rheostat
