| 99 F150XL 4.2, battery-relay-starter wiring diagram... 99 F150XL 4.2, battery-relay-starter wiring diagram... is there an online diagram anywhere that shows this?... I want to make sure the wiring is correct before I jump to any conclusions... on this truck, the battery cable assembly is one piece with the starter and relay cables, and the assembly is still in original condition, ends corroded, going to replace, (truck has been sitting up for about 2 years), and there is a small wire hanging loose with the end broken off, down near the starter, a small red wire (10-12 gauge?), and it must go to something, obviously... if I had a diagram, I could see how many wires and which go to the solenoid, etc. ... I have a Haynes manual, but it is not covered in the manual... and the relay is different from the one in the book, connections marked different and relay rotated 90 degrees... anyway, any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, and have a great Thanksgiving weekend!!... |

| Seems like the Haynes manual would cover that in the electrical diagrams section at the back though not in the sections on starting systems. |
