87 F150 won't start when raining

I have a 87 F150 with a 302 V8. When we have damp rainy weather it won't start. I thought it could be moisture in the distributor, but I took the cap off and it was dry. When it won't start I just let it sit until it quits raining and drys out, then it will start and run fine. Any ideals as to what my problem could be? Coil, bad wiring plug somewhere? Has anyone else this problem with their Ford?

Ok bud here you go. When you open the hood, look on the fender walls. If I remember correctly, it will be on the drivers side wheel well. There is a little relay box. In there should be a plug. That is a rely for the ignition. It is a bad location due to weather, and it should have a seal. But they wear. Check that relay. If it gets wet or is a little loose, when the coonection is made to send the power to the starter, it will fail. It is an easy fix, either wipe it off and or tighten the connections. You should be fine.

Thanks for the Info Junior, I see the little box you are talking about, I'll clean the connections up and see if that solves my problem.

another problem could be condensation getting in the plug wires, try putting dielectric grease in both ends of the plug wires.
