trouble w/start

I have a 2005 F250 (diesel). It gets where at times when u try to start it it won't at first. Being cold or warm. It sounds like it wants to but just keeps cranking. For right now it will turn on over with second try. This has happen once before. It would not start so I had it towed to dealership. But of course it started right up for them. They changed fuel filters (they said that one was pretty clogged up) and said hope that works. That was six to nine months ago. It did actually help and I have not had a problem until about 3 weeks ago. Right now I am able to start it. But Ford says that they would not be able to tell me anything because it doesn't do it with them. They say that there has been lots of trucks having problems with the new diesel??? Has anyone else had this problem?? Thank You!
