| Just wondering what all would be involved in changing the manual transmission in a 1994 2wd extended cab Ranger to a automatic. The Ranger has a busted trans and Im getting it for free, (courtesy of my girlfriends dad). Apart from removing the old tranny, would the automatic bolt in? Could anyone post a walkthru on this, or at least a rough idea of the procedure? |

| You have the tranny, Tourque converter and flywheel right? You will need the shift lever, and probably a whole new column for the steering wheel since that is where they go stock. I do not know if it will line up, but I would be concerned about the rear end. Does it have 4wd, if so, you might neet to have the TC for it aswell, and then there is the issue of the rear drive shaft. Seems like a ton of work to me.... but some other guys may know better.
