| No one ever answered my last thread, but i thought i would try again. I am having problems with my truck when i am off-roading. It seems to only happen when i have been idling for a long period of time. The engine starts to putter out and it seems like it is getting fludded. I am just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else and what did you do? And if anyone has any clue what is going wrong? This is a new holly 600 cfm carb on a fully rebuilt 351w. Thanks for your help.

| You may be getting vapor lock. The fuel line may be getting really hot and vaporizing the gas before it can be used as it should. Check the routing of the fuel line and make sure it's not near anything producing excessive heat. |

| did you ever think about the carb loading up? it's like stalling for time in a race. you burn your tires while your competion sits and waits for you to get ready to race. he loads up from idling and falls flat on his face when the light turns green. you get the jump on them. |
