Question 2.3 Ranger 2wd. Transmission question.

Im looking at replacing the 4 speed manual in my 94' Ranger with an automatic unit. So far the only transmissions I've found have been:

A4LD-1985/1995, found in 4 cyl ranger, bronco II, mustang and explorer

4R44E-1995/2001, 4 cyl. 2.3 and 3.0

Will either of these tranmissions work? Will the bellhousing bolt up to the back of my engine? Thanks.

it seems to me that if it is for the same engine it should fit , remember to take the pilot bearing out .
