no plastic clip, only bolt and nut with washer. has long channel that is adjustable on the linkage.
for the record, i have finally gotten out of the ford business. refuse to buy anymore.

Drive only C6

Does it automatically upshift or down shift when you drive it? If it does, it just about has to be either a linkage problem, or (not likely, but possible) a problem in valve body. If it doesn't shift, it could be locked clutches... did they check clutch - servo pressures?

I took to it to my local AAMCO and they said the whole transmission had to be rebuilt, got a new clutch kit, new torque convertor put in. Whenever I take it out now it runs good.
