Anyone have Dick Cepek Mud Country tires?
Hey guys,
So I'm in the process of looking for new tires and I have 20 inch rims which limits the tires I can get. I heard that mud country tires last pretty long, which I need seeing that I'm going to be picking up a whole lot more driving here in a few months. My dad's idea was that I get all terrains put those on my truck then get swampers and when I want to go mudding just throw them on. My problem is with that where I'm moving chances are I'm not going to have a garage and I really don't want huge tires taking up space in an apartment. So honestly right now I'm looking for is a tire that will last longer on the road and I can still do some playing in it without having to worry about extra tires lying around! I'm looking for anyone who has mud country tires on their ford and what they think of them... from mileage they get out of em, how they are in the mud, and how much road noise would be nice things to know. Thanks guys!

That Cepecl tire appears to be a decent one, but I leaned towards the Toyo tire. Yes the Toyo tires. I use the open country M/t tire. I had Swamper SSr's prior to this, but wanted some bling wheels, and decided that The 20 inchers were the way to go for this.
I have used them in the mud and in the snow, they even work well on mild rocks. Boat ramps are a snap, and I am in love with how they ride on the street. They have the weight capacity for my 36' toy hauler (but rarely tows it anymore, that for the diesel now). All in all I am pleased with the Toyo tire, and might just suggest that you consider this. Cant tell you that it is better than the one you are considering, only that I have these on my ride, and I am pleased with them. I can tell you that I have tried other types, and sold them with only a few hundred miles. Tires are important to me. Looks, and performance are both equally important factors. 75k, I like the suggestion but what I don't like about putting those on my truck is that I have a lot smaller tire than you do. I can only fit 35's on mine so the profile of the tire is less and unless I have a beefy looking tire I'm afraid they will look odd on my truck. I've heard they're good I just wonder if they're going to look aggressive enough to even out the look with the huge rim. Plus, what kind of mileage are you up to with them? B/c my amount of driving is going to be increased immensely.
lifted... which tires were you referring to? The dick cepek or the toyo's?

Toyo Tires Are Great. You Get About 35k On Them. Ihad 38x14.50r16 0n My F350 Sd And They Look Great And Sound Great. Whatever You Do Dont Use Tsl Thornbirds. I Drove From Cali To Utah Pulling A 16' Trailer. Got To Barstow And The Driver Side Front Tire Was Making Noise, Got Out And Noticed The Tread Was Bubbling Up So I Got A Used 35'" On To Replace It(thats All I Could Find In The Middle Of Nowhere). I Got To Provo And My Rear Driver Tire Blew Out Caused My Trailer To Spin Wrecked My Truck And Everything In The Trailer. The Idiot Manufacurer Made Some Bullcrap Excuse And Denied Any Defects On Their Part And Now Im Screwed. Just A Lil Fyi
