Week before last on Friday I took a load of scrap up to Tracy's and cashed it in. While I was there I spotted a cherry 90' F-250. Cherry that is except the box was mangled. I asked Tracy about it and he was livid. Seems this truck was in fine shape when it came in and Tracy had the box sold already, but his loader operator clobbered the box and destroyed it. Tracy said if I wanted the front clip and doors for my 89' F-150 I could have them for $100 cash if I pulled them off. I couldn't that day. After I got in to work I asked one of the guys (resident Ford freak) if he wanted to make a $75 bill Saturday morning. I had to go out of town early Saturday morning and didn't have the cash for the parts on me. So I called over to Tracy's and asked his office girl if I could have Duane come over Saturday morning and pull the parts off and I would be in first thing Monday morning and settle up. ABSOLUTELY NOT!! She stated So I asked to speak with Tracy and she said "he's busy" and slammed the phone down.
The following Wednsday I took another load of scrap up (cleaning up my place) and I spoke to Tracy (I've known his family since we were kids). I told him what had happened. He told me anytime I need something come get it and settle up when I can and he would 'advise' the office girl. He said the truck was still down in the yard if I wanted the parts so I took a look at it when I went down to unload the scrap. Looked like the loader operator wasn't happy with destroying the box so he finished the job by smashing in the driver's side and shoving the truck into another truck and destroying the passenger's side. I went back to the office to scale out and Tracy asked when I could get the parts pulled off. I told him he might just as well have his loader operator set the truck in the crusher as is. His face turned beet red and he stomped out of the office and toward the yard and that was the last I saw of him. The office girl gave me $101 for the scrap I hauled in.

Dang! that sucks dude! I have a f150 with that body. $100 cash though? that woulda been a great deal for the whole clip.
