It's Alive!

Finally, I got the Ranger back on the road! The power steering pump went out on it, and a belt tensioner froze up. Replaced all the power steering stuff, except for the box (steering box, that is), PCV valve, cleaned the throttle body, and am awaiting on some money to replace the cat and O2's. I know most people will say "Screw the cat" but I'd rather not have relations with it, as it's metal, and I do not like chaffing.

I actually want the cat back on because I had a Ranger before this one without one, and I just thought it ran like garbage. Plus, I figure I might as well keep it on as I've heard people say the awesome 4.0 is tuned to have one, and I really hate when my CEL comes on.

Oh yeah, and I am also perhaps buying some tires and wheels for it. Won't let the cat out of the bag yet, but I am excited

Don't worry about the Dodge. It'll still be driven.....sometimes. My dad's gonna borrow it probably after next week because my sister is moving back in, and she'll be borrowing the spare car he has been driving since his truck and car are both down (go figure, 250K miles on both of them [not combined, mind you] and things are just now starting to happen ).

Well I am glad to see everything is back to normal... I think, a little worried about your relationship to your catylitic converter though.....LOL...

Do you have the rims you want picked out? Personally I think the American Racing Outlaw II's look really sharp on those old Rangers, but that is just me.

I like them too, was going to be one of the choices for mine, however, I have to agree with mud, too shiny. I tried to find them in silver painted... They are nice rims however and I think that will look sharp on your ride.... Be sure to post before and after pics.... I love those.

They are polished, not the chrome ones that are pictures there. Here are the actual wheels I am getting on the truck I am getting them from:

Still pretty, and I'll try and keep them that way as best as I can. I had them on my old 4Runner, and I just fell in love. The reason the guy is getting rid of them is cause he went from that truck to this:

Yes, that's the same truck. He was getting terrible mileage before, so he swapped. He's got a whipple in that thing, and he says it moves!

Here is some pictures of my truck from a recent wheeling trip:

Also planned is a 4" suspension lift with 32's. Also, the old fog lamp brackets will get removed in place for a gen 3 4X4 valance and lamps, but that can wait a while.

Thanks guys!

Brad, I really wish I did it for a living, because I really enjoy photography, but alas, it's just a hobby. I have gotten a LOT better then I was only a year ago, and it helps to have a camera with more functions then your cheap $20 digital camera.

I have a ton of pictures of the truck, though. It's probably my main subject.

Here are just a couple of my other favorite subject: My moms Mustang.

Mods, if you would like me to resize them, just let me know, and I would be happy to. I know some people hate scrolling over, but I like to see the clear image

photobucket has the option to turn your pictures in to click-able image links. it helps on the forums load time and gives the members a quick preview in case they only have dial-up.
