Question New Billet Grille

I could use some help finding a new billet grille to replace my factory grille for my 03 F250 SuperCrew. I want to buy a grille that I don't have to modify to fit the opening (chrome or stainless) or cut up the existing grille and mount behind it. Any ideas?

if you are looking for something like this...

I do not think you are going to find it as a kit. Most of these conversions all require cutting and some fabrication.

Those are not hard to install. With a little trimming and some beers... it could look awesome.... Besides, doing it yourself would allow more pride in the look I would think. Eventually, I plan a front grill swap on my rig, and the billet fill myself.. but first things first... LOL...

It calls for cutting the chrome and I didn't want to have chrome peeling, etc.

If you just get the inserts, would you still have to cut the chrome? If it is just a chrome polish or finish, then getting a can of touchup would not be a bad, nor wasted investment in that case.

With the inserts you see the original grill behind the billet - not too cool in my opinion. I don't want see it on as an applique or after thought you know. it's the front of the truck -it's got to be boss! You gotta protect your image if you accidently hit someone.

i thought that with the inserts, you had to cut the existing out.

yes Brad that is true, but i have seen them both ways. Some instructions tell you to black out the existing, seems cheesey and not custom.

i would go with the one you have fab up something a little. you could get a new grill and cut up your old one this way if you wanted to change it back for something you would have one already. most of the time you wont be cutting your crome just the ugly black piping behind it.
