Maybe that's a thing I should check into because my truck feels like it has a shift kit in it already! I'm almost positive it doesn't because the previous owner of my truck was an excavation company they dumped a new motor in it that's been beat to **** partly by me partly because of the reason that it was a work truck! Anyway if I pull off a dirty muddy road onto a paved road 1-2 gear slams and the tires barely break loose and the truck kicks out alittle but then 2-3 and 3-OD are perfectly fine!

nah yours is a completly the opposite of what were talking about... 1-2 shift winds out not slamms in to gear.. yours is more then likely an internal problem... what were talkinga bout is all external

Oh rite on!! Yes I thought it was something wrong but I'm a slacker sometimes and I think hey if it works don't fix it! And if theres something wrong and I don't know what it is I'll drive it till it breaks then I'll fix it!!

Yeah mine happens just about anytime the truck comes to a stop and has something, anything on the tires when 1-2 shifts it jumps mainly to the driver side! I'm not concerned about it anyway everyone says whoa you gotta shift kit in this? I just say not sure bought that way but if I'm gonna get credit for it might as well soak it up right!! This is until I get a real shift or something does break!!!! B&M kit for my truck runs 149 on jegs so hopefully it'll happen sooner then later but got laid off this morning so not sure it's gonna happen till probably after X-mas!!

75K30, So does that mean all 352 ci engines are big blocks? And if I wanted to put a manual tranny to it I would need one from a 332, 352,360, 390,406, 410, 427, or a 428? Hammer

silverhairdeere is ^^^^ 100% correct. The FE / FT engine is just that. This engine series is not considered to be a big block. Ford guys only refer to the 429 / 460 (385 series) as the big block. There is quite a bit if FE stuff out there. This engibe is fairly popular. I ant seem to make any power from them, I must be a knucklehead, but others are having success.

as for the manual trans, if you have a bellhousing that fits the motor, then you should be able to mount a trans of a similar year behind it..... but, your going to find mostly a 4 speed in everything. I have a 4 speed from a 400ci behind a 460 in my 78 ford, and its the same tranny..... Im not too sure about the automatics
