coolant overflow I just came home from school and i back up a hill to park in my driveway, i was with my girlfriend and showing off and spun tires up the hill, when i parked it my overflow coolant bottle poured out. What does this mean? Is it bad? What do I need to do to fix it?

Check your thermostat see if it's not stuck closed might just change it and if it's old, also check your lower radiator hose make sure it's not clasping even a bad radiator cap will fool one good also check your fan clutch. Keep us posted.

| First you can't impress a girl with a ford! sorry had to do itit sounds like the cooling system is marginal when you put a load on the engine, look at the fins in the radiator especially the bottom half, lightly rub you finger on them and see if they are soft, the radiator may not have enough cooling capacity left for a heavy work out. look inside and See how well the coolant is flowing,

my past issues have always lead to the thermostate or rad cap... if the thermostate is stuck closed then the antifreeze inside the block with expand alot when it gets hot and the water pump spins faster then normal... but if the rad cap isnt providing a good seal then when the system starts to pressurize then it will just go directly into the overflow and youll see that volcano.. both are a cheap fix so you should be spending more then 40 bucks combined and it will give you a little more security next time you try to impress the girl with a ford...lol

Forgot to mention if you have driven in mud or weeds the bottom part of your radiator might be dirty that can cause it from not cooling correct.
