Taking gauge cluster out

i am wanting to know how to take the gauge cluster out of my 06 F250. i am wanting to clean the inside side of the lens because its real dirty. any tips would be appreciated.

most trucks i have worked on, the trim piece around the cluster pops right off, there may be a screw or two holding it tight right by the cluster. once that is off, there is probably 4 screws holding the cluster to the dash.

Removal and Installation
  1. Tilt the steering wheel downward.
  1. NOTE: Ignition switch must be in OFF position if disconnecting the passenger airbag deactivation (PAD) switch electrical connector. Otherwise, a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will be set in the restraints control module (RCM) memory and must be erased before releasing the vehicle.
    Position the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster finish panel.
    • Pull outward on the instrument panel center finish panel, as indicated, to release the retaining clips.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Removal and Installation
  1. NOTE: Prior to removal of the instrument cluster (IC), it is necessary to upload the instrument cluster (IC) configuration information to the scan tool. For additional information, refer to Section 418-01.
    Depower the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to Section 501-20B.
  1. Remove the instrument cluster (IC) finish panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12.
  1. Lower the steering wheel tilt adjustment to the lowest position.
  1. Remove the 4 screws and position the instrument cluster (IC) away from the instrument panel.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  1. If equipped with column shift, push in the 2 clips and disconnect the transmission range indicator.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Download the instrument cluster (IC) configuration information from the scan tool to the new instrument cluster (IC). For additional information, refer to Section 418-01.
