Engine dies when I accelerate, but idles fine Running 292 engine

Time to rebuid the carb, accelerator pump sounds weak. you said you adjusted the carb back the screws out a turn you may have leaned it out to much

I rebuilt the carburetor and it seems to run better, but does anyone know what the Rear Band Adjustment is for the transmission?

not good with fords, but i believe the band is only used in second and reverse gear. if it happens in all gears then i would look at fluid pressure. does that trans have a vacuum modulator? could be causing the engine issues also.

Alright, cause when i shift the lever with the engine off, it slips in and out of gear, but when its going it shifts OK but the truck lurches forward, mainly in reverse.
