| Slip Yoke Issues Folks...appears that I may have the infamous slip yoke issue with my 99 F250 Super Duty 2wheel drive. Pretty straight forward fix...BUT what about the grease or lube?? I was just going to use what I had on the shelf which was some standard wheel bearing grease...pull it all apart.. give it a good going over and re-assemble. IS there a special grease to use?? and do I pack the boot as well?? any tips...or extras..please let me know...will attack it this weekend. Thanks JDB |

| Generally what ever you grease your chassis with is fine, wheel bearing will work, good luck

| You do not want to pack the boot. This is a slip yoke and not a CV joint. Over greasing the joint will only cause the grearse to squeeze out when the shaft compresses. Use just enough to lube the splines and you should be just fine. |
