This depends on the tire. Each tire manufacturer has a suggested wheel width that is optimum for the tire. Look them up and see what they recommended.

from my expierence,i have used an 8 inch rim,but my ideal size would be 10 inch.

i got a 10 on mine.... could use 8 but i wouldnt recommend it..... also depends on what kind of wheelin your going to do..... any rock crawlin your gonna want 10 or your comin off the bead..... i would use a 10 regardless like i said

yeah, 9 inch will work........ but a 10 would be a bit better........ or do as 75k said, and check with the tire manufacturer...... and go with what they say.
