hahahah, so true Brad. But really, if I had it my way, I'd be married and could have been a few times I divorced, but just the way I am, I will not settle for less than what I can live with. That does not mean I am expection of looking for perfection. It just means if I am going to spend the rest of my life with someone I have to be able to tolerate the negative things too. Some negative things I can tolerate just fine, some I can't. Like laziness, a liar, a drug user etc etc. Really I don't expect much, but it sure seems hard to find these days.

is the cross member bolted or rivited? if bolted then remove it, otherwise you almost have the engine out so pull it

My Old 62 Chev and/or 64 GMC were also riveted for that bell housing crossmember. Took some doing, but with an air hammer, the rivets were no more. I did keep the crossmember though, and when I installed something that needed that kind, I used hardened bolts and bolted it back in. Not a have to do thing, just makes engine swaps much easier and as many times as I did engine swaps in those truck is was nice.
