| 97 ranger 4.0 having trouble passing emissions left and right bank burns lean already did tune up and 02 sensors any suggestions |

| scan the readings on the o2 sensors, make sure they are funtioning correctly, also many times a drive cycle or two are needed, did you do any?

| Check your feul pressure too. Also look at the MAF sensor data. If your BARO frequency is off the computer will lean it out or richen it up thinking you are at a higher or lower altitude than you are. Look at your fuel trims at idle and compare them to 2000 RPM. If they are higher at idle then look for a vacuum leak. |

| I would agree on the fuel pressure. How long since you changed the fuel filter? Or may be a weak pump. |

| its my dads truck ill find out when it was changed last i was leaning towards a vaccum leak |
