Noise in the front end?

I'm looking at a 2005 Ford Escape (I know it's not a truck) with about 70k miles on it that has a little rattle up front. Just test drove it for the first time tonight and can hear it at highway speeds and in town on a bumpy road. Sitting at a stop sign I would turn the wheel back and forth but didn't hear anything there. Looking for advice on what to check on this vehicle. Don't want to buy something that I'm going to have to sink big $ into right away.
Appreciate any input.

Check sway bar bushings and strut bushings... Both no big deal.

Correct.

Also, has this vehicle ever been in an accident?

I had one car that made a rattling noise up front. And almost impossible to find.

Everything was good and tight up front. It boiled down to the headlight assembly vibrating against metal bar housing. I ended up putting a small wedge between headlight and metal frame. All noise stopped.

Welcome and howdy from TEXAS. Run a car fax my buddy Jr. bought a Blazer that has been nothing but problems and now he's stuck with it. The Blazer has a bent frame among ton's of other stuff I hope he gets it all fixed up or gets out of the whole truck note.
Good luck! GMC
