Bed Liner...

so ive been looking to get a spray on bed liner. then i discovered the do it yourself herculiner and it seems convincing so i think ima buy it and put it on my self. im also going to install some stacks soon. so im just wondering if anyone knows about herculiner....is it good stuff? worth it? and i also wonder if heat will affect it?? so ya.... lemme know what you think! thanks

We just had a discussion about bed liners on here not long ago. Here's a link spray-in bed liner

If the guys who design 'em had to take one home, use it every day for 2 years, and do all the maint and repairs themselves, cars would have a button on the dash to change the oil, filters & plugs.

mudseeker had terrible luck with herculiner. but the lineX seems to be a favorite around here.

the only thing Herculiner is good for is lining the can it came in. did that to my truck also , prepped it by the directiond and it peeled inside of a month

thanks a lot guys. ya i was thinking of getting herculiner cuz its cheap price and seems easy to put on. plus i rarely ever carry anything in the back. but seems like linex is probly better

Just FYI, the local Line-X shop quoted me $450 to do the bed on a Dakota last Christmas.

you can probably save yourself a little money by doing the prep work for the line x yourself. just ask them. IMHO, its worth the money and will have resale value where as if you use herculiner and it starts peeling and fading, thats an eye sore that may lose it a little value

I know for a fact that it's trash like Bernie wrote Mud did his truck with it and I know Mud he does things right the first time so if it didn't work for him forget about it. Don't waste your money.
