66 f250

Hey, I recently was informed of an opportunity to purchase a 66 Ford truck for a steal. The guy says it has a running 390 under the hood as well.

Is there any demand for such a truck? As much as I would like to purchase the truck for my own personal use I cannot financially justify it. I am currently viewing this as an investment opportunity. I hope to be able to put some work into the vehicle and eventually flip it later on down the line for some coin.

I wasn't able to find much information on this era of truck online which leads me to believe there isn't much of a market for it. Then again, I really don't know much about anything that isn't fuel injected. I'm asking those with prior experience in such a practice... is it worth it in your opinion? Are the 60's era trucks in any demand?? Thanks!

old girl

the old truck's are cool ,but they take a lot of time and money to bring them back,to a sell able condition to make your money and a little bit extra is tough. that's were the term special interest auto comes in .you got to find the right guy that just just has to have it .they can be tough to find especially in this economy .you got to face the fact that you might have to sit on it quite awhile ,or it could go in one day .in the hope's that it will sell .you roll's the dice and you take's your chances.

Good points bill and I've already thought these over. I am willing to commit to the cost in the long term but I need to have some kind of reassurement that some extra coin can be made.

I'll be able to do most of it myself with the exception of any machining required to the block, but the cost for that is bearable...

Its more an experience really, being able to restore a vehicle from scratch, I feel I could further improve on what I know and learn a whole lot more while I'm at it, so the time invested is nothing but fun for me. Unfortunately I need another reason besides this to justify the purchase...

I know, I know, its gonna be a roll of the dice no matter how I look at it... Its all about the odds... and making them appear presentable
