2000 Ford Ranger Transmission

I have a 2000 4.0 automatic with overdrive. It feels like it is slipping. Recently when going up a grade in California the truck got down to 35 mph. The motor reved high but the truck went no where. Is the trans no good?It has 190K on the trans.

Yes the fluid looks good and is full. The truck sat for about a year before I started driving it again. I changed all the fluids and filters before driving it again.

could be serious problems with the torque convertor, if it feels like it is slipping and over revs the engine constantly.
