walmart batteries

I had two batteries from walmart in my F350, they literally went dead on the very last month of the warranty( i think it was 48 months) I took them in, they replaced it both with brand new batteries no questions asked and i didnt even have my receipt.

Staright UP, Walmart batteries are junk junk junk. But, they do however honor their warranty well in most cases, but not all. I think it more depends on the associate than anything. I was junking a car for my brother that had a Wally Battery in it that was 15 months old. Of course it was deader than dead since the car sat for 8 months. THe associate let me upgrade for $10 to the MAXX start with the 3 year warranty from the 2 year standard NEVERstart. I got one with 880CCA, so in that case yes, I will use a Wally battery. Otherwise, I will NEVER buy a Walmart battery. Spending more time exchanging it than using it.

The battery TO BUY !!! I am not big on alot of cheapie items at Auto Zone, but batteries, I will certainly buy at Auto Zone and only Auto Zone. Those Duralast Batteries are made by Johnson Controls. Johnson Controls is who also makes the Die Hard for Sears. I have never had a problem with a Die Hard ever, except not happy about the high price tag. So I buy Auto Zone Duralast Gold and never had a problem with them either, and they also have a good warranty but a much lower price tag than the comparable Die Hard. One of these old trucks that I got for $200, had a standard Duralast battery in it. I figured cool, after sitting for over a year the battery will be junk and I can exchange it for a new one. Didn't happen. I gave that battery a trickle charge, and it charged up and I have been using it for over a year now. That is even after it sits for a week to 10 days, it cranks right up. That battery has got to be close to 3 years old, and sat for a year of that. Also its just that standard Duralast, not the Gold, and still going strong as can be.

I agree on the Duralast Battery, I have one in my truck, it was in there when I bought almost 7 years ago. I have no idea how old it is , but it has never failed me. And I have a weak alternator

You guys almost have me sold in Duralast. I have never owned one have always had the impression that they were cheap cause Autozone sales them. Maybe next time I need a battery I will do my own survey. Right now I have a interstate in both my trucks wifes and mine and when they have done bad after two years I just went to the shop and they threw in another one no questions ask.

I am not trying to sell you one. Jusy saying they are made by the same people who make Die Hard and likley the same battteries, just differant names on them. But you don't pay the Sears price at Auto Zone. All my local buds and relatives ask me what to do and they buy Duralast. None of them have ever had a problem either. Trust me, if they did. I'd have heard about it.

Well I guess that shows how good of a salesmen you really are and you're not even trying. I am curious if they will duralast in this heat.

I had my Duralast in Bullhead City heat of 115 degrees for 3 days, down to 95 at nights, running AC like crazy etc. No problems. Man, lucky you. Here you were whining earlier about living in AZ. I'd love to live in AZ.
