1994 f-150

The truck has a 302 EFI. When you first start it, the idle comes up to 1500rpms, the check engine light flashes 3 times. Then the idle comes down to about 800. Then when you drive it, sometimes it hesitates and backfires through the air cleaner. I changed just about evrerything i can see.The truck runs fine after all of that, like it never happend. I've been chacen this for 3 years.

sounds like timing problem to me. the high idle is just the choke kicking on and off. backfire is indicative of timing issue.

ivegot a 300ci 6cyl and a 5spd for sale if you wanna convert

Sounds like you might have a bad ECM - check the harness and terminals for corrosion.
