Welcome to the forum fuzzy.

Not a ford guy but I believe you would at least need to add a
speed control servo / amplifier assembly.
Think of it this way: you tell the button you want cruise,
who is the button going to tell ?

If you just want the wheel with the buttons and the newer look then it should fit in place without a problem. Now getting those buttons to actually function is a much bigger beast and I hear it can get costly.

Only stuck around 12 minutes,
probably just wanted the wheel.

FYI... If it a diesel you can just change the stering wheel and have the dealer change the programmable parameter to "enable" for the cruise to function.

Is the servo to piece under the steering wheel that the horn and air bag plugs into? if so is there an easy way to remove it from the steer column.

Thanks for the welcome

Not kidding - not a ford guy for those details. tjzz4 or some of the others might have info.
Good idea to include which truck: details make a big difference in many cases.
