keyless remote

I've got a question regarding the keyless entry system on my 95 F-250. I bought a key fob from E-bay with programming instructons that said to cycle the ignition from on to off or on to accessory to off 5 times in 10 seconds or less and the locks are supposed to cycle acknowledging the programming mode. The problem I'm having is I can't get into the programming mode. I've got one working fob now so the keyless module is working, the batteries are at 3.0 volts, what am I missing?

Are the locks cycling to indicate the truck is going into programming mode? If not then you're probably not doing the on/off in under 10 seconds.

If it is going into programming mode then your new remote may not be compatible.

Not sure but I think you're trying for full swings of key, not pausing in each spot.
All doors fully shut. May need to operate door lock switch before starting.
Make sure where you are parked to do this isn't subject to outside signals.
Away from structures or other vehicles may help.

If it is going into programming mode then your new remote may not be compatible. __________________ If the guys who design 'em had to take one home, use it every day for 2 years, and do all the maint and repairs themselves, cars would have a button on the dash to change the oil, filters & plugs.
