| Hello to everyone. I have a problem, I have a 1993 ranger with a V6 3.0 engine. The oil pump siezed up and the distributor gears got chewed off. Can anyone tell me what the problem may be? I had it to a reapir shop and $700.00 later I had it back. But it did the same thing again only after driving it 1,822 miles. The guy that repaired it put a new oil pump and rod and distributor. Also replaced the oil pan. Let me know if any of you have had any dealing with this or can help me in fixing the problem..Thanks so much guys and this is my first time on here so I hope i did ok.... |

| My stepdad just went through dumping money into his '92 Ranger. His problem was a busted timing belt and frozen main dampener. However I've heard nothing but heartache about the 3.0's... If I can dig something up on the subject I'll let you know...Good luck!!!
