f150 windows

I have a 1991 f150 xlt. Both electric windows stopped working 2 days apart. The motors run but do not catch the gear that move the glass. Is there a plastic gear on the motor? I took the door panel off but I don't see how to remove the motor. Anyone have any ideas. I appreciate some help.

There should be a little clip that holds the motor on the window lift...maybe those broke? I've had that happen several times... You should pull out your door panels and look for anything that looks broken or bent. Can you take a pic and post it up? That would help...of the motor lift and where the window makes contact with the lift supports...?

I had the same problem. I have the exact kind of truck you have yr and all. I think your problem is a stripped gear in the motor. My best advice is not to run the window motors, figure out how to get them out, and take them to a local shop to be replaced.
