Rear Gear Oil

I chaged out my rear gears last summer in my 8.8 ford rear end. I heard some where that you should change the oil after awhile. I am thinking if I should since I have the time, well if it is needed or not. Also do the aftermarket covers help enough, and which is the best brand for more capacity and cooling.

Aftermarket covers are more for looks than much anything else. Also changing your oil would be a good idea since you did your ring & pinion about a year ago, look closley at the oil and gear teeth for abnormal wear

Yeah changing the oil out would be a good idea, and an aftermarket cover is more for fun, but if you wheel it then find a good heavy duty one. Just please, don't get chrome
