clutch bleeding

this is really a question about clutch blin general, but i just put it in the ford specific section due to the truck being a 93 ranger. we're tryin to bleed the clutch.... we took a clear vinyl hose and connected it from the bleeder valve and ran it back to the clutch's master cylinder reservoir, pumped the clutch OVER and OVER, finally, no air bubbles, closed the valve, pumped the clutch once, no pressure..... we opened the rubber inspection plate on the side of the tranny, and i pumped the clutch while my dad looked in, the presseure plate had no movement at all..... so basically some part of the system still has air in it, or something just flat isn't working.... we're going to try using a pressure can today and pump the fluid into the bleeder valve and air out the top, instead of the other way around.... any1 have any ideas of how to bleed this clutch???

I gravity bleed and I dont reuse the fluid as it wil just contaminate the system even more.Saving a couple dollars in fluid isnt worth the extra wear added by reusing old fluid. DOT is like a water magnet. Brake fluid should actually be changed out every 15k miles. I just use a syringe and remove most of the fliuid from the reservior whne I change oil and add some fresh. No bleeding and it greatly improves the life of brake components. As for bleeding try gravity.

I understand the old and new, But you are still flushing out any contamination and then placing it back into the system. Gravity bleeding lets gravity do the work, If yoiu have a pressure pot do that first, Its the quickest way.
