Question What tires will fit my F-250 ?

I have a 1990 F-250, 4WD, 5 speed with a 302. I had an extra (heavy duty) leaf spring added in the rear (for hauling firewood) which raised the rear 2 or 3 inches. I want to raise the front 2 inches to level it off, and I'm wondering if I do this what size tires will fit. It has 265/75/16's on it now which is the equivalent of 33x10.5 and it seems to have plenty of room to spare. Will I be able to safely fit 35x12.5's on the front after raising the front 2 inches ? I know there's plenty of room for the rear tires. Also will the stock axles handle the 35's ?

The should fit. your main concern will be when turning the front tires and will they hit the frame?????

I was gonna put some skinny 36" tires on my 83 F250 with 3" body lift but I would have had to slightly trim the wheel opening corners on the front fenders to allow them to turn and than I still didn't check for frame clearance. I sold the tires and truck.

I had a early 80's full size bronco once and had to adjust the steering stops to accomidate 31" tires. They fit but rubbed the frame rail. Stopped rubbing after stopps were adjusted.

305/70-16 should fit with a little rubbing on hard turns but any taller I believe will be annoying, but i'm not totaly sure

I have an f-250 with about a 2-3" lift and I run 35x15x15 boggers and only rub a little bit. No biggy, just don't turn as sharp If you run a 13.5 wide 35" tire, you'll be good to go

F.C you have a highboy, It was bigger than this one to begin with. You can fit 35s but you wont be able turn much without rubbing. Need at least 4 inches to clear them and even then it would be close depending on your backspacing. I wouldnt try anything over a 33 with your combination

I would think that a narrow 35" tire would be okay... I've seen em work. Just a little rubbage, maybe a little fender choppage... but it'll work. Depends on the extent that you wanna go

Talking

Yeah I don't mind trimming the bumper and fenders. I don't mind a little "rub" once in a while !!!
