| Engine and overdrive light I have a 96 ranger, 4 cylinder, and the engine light came on and then the overdrive light started flashing. When I had it checked it gave a code that said the transimission solenoid circuit was stuck off. I had he transmission solenoids replaced and the transimission serviced. The codes were erased and the truck did fine for a day. Again the engine light came on and after about 10 miles the overdrive light started flashing again. The engine light comes on when you start the truck and the overdrive light comes on when you have gone a short distance. The truck seems to run ok. Any suggestions. Thanks |

| put black tape on the dash or remove the bulbs unless you want to spend more on changing out parts. If the truck is running good and no codes are showing then don`t fret over it to much it could be a bad ground or any number of little things
