ford f250 tranmission trouble

I have a 96 F250, when I pull my car trailer sometimes the tranmission will leak out tranmission fluid from the front of the tranmission. After I let the truck cool for awhile I can add more tranmission fluid and be ok for awhile. Any ideas??? this is a 96 F250 power stroke.

Thanks
Gary

sounds to me like the front seal needs to be replaced.

i have heard that 89-96 F250 had the 150 tranny in them and had problems when pulling big loads. i would recomend having it checked and maybe rebuilt but w/ custom parts not to ford specs as u will have problems again shortly

Big maybe the oil is getting to hot think about installing a transmission cooler I don't know if it already has one check, add a Transmission stop leak it softens up the dryed seals and that corrects the leak sometimes I added a LUCAS transmission additive in my wifes van it was slipping bad it corrected the problem im a true believer in LUCAS even the gas treatment.
