Question What's a perfect 83' F150 xlt worth?

I have a beautiful 1983 f150 xlt long bed, 2 wheel drive with a 300 6 cylinder and after market wheels and tires. I am thinking of selling. It has been in the family since new, garaged year around and only has 42000 miles. No rust or dents, but paint gets chalky between waxes. What's it worth? Blue book says $1850, but that seems too cheap. Thanks for your thoughts.

The year and option package makes the value low. Might be worth more to you to keep it since you have the history on it. These dont carry alot of resale value. I think it would be hard to get $1500. but I dont know where you are. In oregon you cannot give a 2wd away.

Depends on where you are and who's looking at the time.

I'd think someone would buy it for a project just to rip out the motor and put a V8 in it. That person would probably want to spend $1000 but you never know.

I paid $1300 for my 83 F250 4x4 in 2000 with 160K and it was from northern New England. In 2wd version I would not have paid over $600-$800 for it.

If you have use for a truck I say keep it because its paid for and you probably won't have to put much into it for upkeep. you'd probably pay more in upkeep of a used newer truck than this one. Again you never know.

I just sold my 83 about a year ago and was licky to get $1500 for it after I rebuilt the motor, put a rust free cab on it and a new paint job.
