what kind of gas milage should i be getting in my 2003 f-150 extended cab?

im trying to settle and arguement , this friend of mine says he gets super good gas milage and i have same truck and get 8 to 10 miles less than he does per gallon...

I have two f-150 shop trucks, and they both get about 16 miles per gallon average. However, I have know that driving style, and any load is noticeable. So either you gettin 9-10 mpg amd your buddy is gettin 18-20, I could buy that, but if you are gettin anything close to mine, your buddy is gettin 24-26 mpg. That I would have to see.

sorry i meant it has a 4.6 v-8 and my truck is a regular cab 4.6 and i get 17 mpg ,,,my friend has a 4.6 extended cab and says he gets 25 + mpg ,,,,i think hes lying through his tooth .
