Question Ford dually, GM dually, or Dodge dually?

Hello, I was just looking at a nice 99' Ford dually and it seemed like it ran smooth but i was wondering what some of you think I should buy, a Dodge dually, GM dually, or this Ford dually ? Remember I'm trying to buy one that's a 99'-01'...(money issues )

the ford is a better truck overall, chevy is ****, thats all i have to say about that one, but if your just gonna be usin it for solid work i'd get the dodge, its got the cummins , if you dont care about gettin the body beat up the dodge is the better deal, but like i said ford is better overall,.... the workhorse is the dodge if you dont' care about appearance

none of use can really make a desicion for you. we can tell you about each of these trucks but you need to testdrive each one and crawl up under it to see what would fit you the best. all of us here already have a particular truck that each of us like.

Greetings,
For shure you need to like the way the truck looks
and feels. How does the drivers seat, steer wheel, and pedals
fit for you?

Then comes the motor thing,

The Cummins is the best of the diesels,
and there is a web site all about installing them into Fords
and Chevys, but that's a lot of work and money.

I like Chevys, but never did want one of thier diesels,
and have heard lots of bad stories about breakdown.
The newer Duramax motors have a great review,
And the Duramax/ Allison combo has good reviews also.
But the Duramax is made by Isuzu. Isuzu's have been making
diesel engins and trucks for a long time, and Isuzu trucks also
have a good review.

The Powerstrokes are based on International truck motors.
International has been making trucks and motors for a long time
also.
There are lots of very happy Ford/Powerstroke truck onwers
around.

Why not take the time to test drive all of them before you
buy. The moneygrabbin' used truck salesmen will love to help you
out there, and there is no way they can know your only windowshoping.

After a few test drives, you might wind up telling us all here
which is "the only" choice to make.

I cannot stand the power joke diesel. Over rated and underpowered. I was forced to trade in my company truck for a crew cab , went from a cummins to a ford. Man I couldnt get over 60 with my job trailer and it had a real havrd time pulling it off the line. Chevys make a great diesel now. Duramax. But too pricey for me.

As brad said, you nobody can choose for you. Everyone has their preferences. You should drive each one and decide for yourself what one YOU like.

Hey bro, I hear you about the money issue
I live on a working ranch, and am familar with diesels, and what they can do. If your going to be hauling loads and loads, and need a good "solid" work truck, then dodge is the way to go, they make very great, long lasting diesels.
If your looking for a truck thats not gunna be worked too hard, unless your looking at the 350- 550, then go with fords, which in the long run hold their value better than dodge. And chevy....unless your looking at a 70's and below stay away. But like everyone had stated, check out all of them, see which one you like the best, and research the loads, tourque, axles, the just. Let us know which 1 ya picked bud.
