2003 6.0 Diesel

I have a 2003 F250 Super Duty 6.0 Diesel that I use to tow a 5th wheel toy hauler (16,600 lbs.). I was towing up Baker grade in Ca. (on a Friday night) when the engine sounded like it blew up and I lost all power. The cold air hose to the turbo had blown off for some reason and I couldnt get it back on. The engine still ran but there was no power from the turbo. I limped in to Vegas and of course nothing could be done until Monday morning. After waiting for parts to be flown in from L.A. the dealer got me back on the road Tuuesday afternoon. The truck ran great the rest of the vacation and I thought everthing was taken care of. However, the engine light kept coming on and nothing seemed to be wrong. This always happens when towing. Last week I was going on vacation again, towing the trailer, when the engine made the same noise but this time the hose stayed together and a box located by the radiator broke (intercooler?). Thank god the warranty covered everything but this time I had to cancel my vacation. I'm thinking very seriously about selling and getting another make of truck. Has anyone had this kind of problem?

I know someone with a similar truck, 2003 6-liter diesel. Something similar happened to him, where his turbo came apart, but his was worse. The turbo shot out through the top of his hood. He had just chipped it, and he was running way too much boost.
