 | serpentine belt squealing This squealing is LLOOUDDDDDDDD. I noticed that the ac clutch (Ithink thats what it's called) doesnt engage when the heat is on. On all my cars I had ,It always engages for a few seconds. The serpentine belt is tight. When I turn off the heat the noise subsides.  |

| Engage the A/C and see if the squealing returns. Sounds to me like a frozen compressor (not frozen like ice, but jammed/stuck). |

| Could be your idler pulley bearings gone bad... I know it sounds unreasonable, but on my truck it only squealed when my heat was on too, and it was my idler pulley.
