78 F-250 wont start this morning...

Hey guys- First real post here. I have a 78 f250 that just clicks this morning. Although it seemed to have juice, I tried to jump it and blew a fuse. So I took the car to work. I figure I'll look into the solanoid later. It was doing fine yesterday. Also noticed a sour smell while driving yesterday, I belive comming from the battery...

also check your voltage regulator..if battery looks swelled system is probably over charging...

Same identical situation just happened to me. I replaced the solenoid (cheap fix), nothing. I was about to change the starter, then I took the battery in for diag., battery fine. Cleaned off the batt. terminals, truck starts perfect. $3 cleaner brush!!! I melted two jumper cables in the meantime. It is always process of elimination.
