Ford dropping navistar becasue to 6.0

Well I heard it today from my friend that works for ford. Beacuse of all the 6.0 problems and excess warranty issues wth them ford asked navistar (manufacturer of the 6.0 diesel) to assist in the expense and back them up and navistar refused to back their product do for is going to drop navistar all together. Maybe ford will get a better diesel out of this.

It's just a rumor CG. They still have several years of contract left. Navistar was actually court orderd to start sending ford the new 6.4 engines cause navistar quit shipping for 2 weeks because of this. It is a battle yes but they won't be dropped anytime soon. They should of stuck with the 7.3!!

The 7.3 was way better agreed, But ford is complaing the navistar engines are not living up. Its more than rumor, i believe ford is going to give them the boot. Ford has broken contracts before.

ford cant afford to break too many more contracts. they are already on the downhill slide of the auto industry. what was the differance in the 6.0 and 6.4??

completely redesigned fuel system, as well as 2 turbos and about 1/2 a micron worth of room to work on anything under the hood.
