driveline no speak to flywheel Tried leaving the driveway today, truck no move in any gear. Any ideas? I can shift, clutch pedal moves slave back and forth, let out clutch - driveline no turn. Do clutches get stuck in the disengaged position? Is this common? What causes it? Should I hit something with a hammer (yes this IS a straight line)? Truck has rear engine cover plate. ('87 F250HD 4WD 8-460 4-sp). Or could it actually be the tranny? How do I troubleshoot this, simple things first?

Just so everyone could learn. Old 250 and I had discussed this problem, and it appears that he had a linkage problem with the t-case, and the crazy thing was stuck in neutral. The clutch was working like a champ, but the case was not engaged, so she no go........I believe he has a handle on it now.

Temporary linkage fix - why does clutch need warm up? Made a link out of aluminum with a hacksaw and drill. Got the truck off road and ran around a bit. Everything seems to work good 'nuf fer now! Thanks for the hint 75k30! When I first get in it I have to be tender with the shift or else the gears kind of grind but after it warms up this seems to get better. What causes this?
