The Very bottom pulley on my 96 ford f150 300-I6. Is wobbling i think its what makeing this knocking noise. I was told the harmonic balancer. If so, does anyone know how to go about fixing this problem. I would like to change the pulley for sure to prevent from tearing anything else up. Thanks

You may have more than just a pulley problem. You may have a balancer that is coming apart. I have seen a few mor balancers fail than I care to mention. It is critical that you replace this component. Its responsibilities are to reduce vibrations (harmonics, thus the name) from the crank while it spins. A failed component will destroy the bearings, and could break the crank. Often times a balancer will spin, or the rubber that isolates the weight from the center becomes brittle, and damaged, and allows the whole thing to fall apart. Look closely at this, and fix it quickly...

If that is your problem, and the rubber is falling out of your balancer you will find them at your local parts store for around $60.00 (US), up to $400.00 (US for some higher end race application dampers / balancers. Some require a special tool to remove / install. Make sure you inspect this carefully, it could be a loose bolt or a cracked pulley like you mentioned in your original post.
