| What happened??? Please help, I'm gettin relly frustrated w/ my 95 F150, 5.0L I bought it second hand a few mo. ago. It is my work/plow truck. It ran fine when I first got it and then four mo. ago, out of the blue it died. I was traveling along Rt. 80 and the moter died, all the electrics seemed to be working, dash and what not. It turned over and over and over, but would not run. After ten min. and nearly running the bat. out of juice it started. For another couple of weeks I had no problems, I chalked it up to "vaper lock" and figured if it aint broke... Well it happened again but this time I had to have it towed home. It's been sittin in the drive now for a couple weeks and I can't fig it out. She'll turn over, I am getting spark to the plugs, fuel has pressure to the rail but the injectors don't seem to be working. So what happened? I replaced the pressure reg. but am still not gettin gas to the cylinders. I hate all this electronic **** on the engine and hope not to buy a diog. computer. Any insite would be appreciated. |

| have you checked to see if the computer has thrown any codes? Have you checked to see what the actual fuel pressure is. If the fuel pressure is not high enough it will not fire. Since you say it is fuel related I would think fuel pump or maybe cam/crank position sensor or maybe even tps, although the tps doesnt usually show those kinda symptoms. Hope this helps.

| might be a tripped inertia switch, which cuts off fuel to the engine in the event of an accident. Ford has a problem with defective ones quitting for no reason. Usually mounted in the cab, under the dash on the firewall, or in a kickpanel. Little black box, push the reset button. |

| $100 bucks says it's your Ignition Control Module. I had the same problem twice... and it was the ICM.... where it seems there's no spark, but everything tests fine... It's a $30 part. Let us know what you find out

Have you actually seen if the injectors are really working and you really aren't getting fuel, or was that a guess?

| hook up a scan tool.... no way to be sure besides using a scanner, but, ive seen a bad crank position sensor do this. the PCM looks for the signal when its cranking, if it doesnt get the signal, it wont allow the engine to start
