need help 86 f150

need some help on an 86 f150 5.0 l. efi. got this truck given to me, excellant shape,southern truck, but its been hacked up. emissions ripped off,wires cut,almost all vacuum lines missing or blocked. truck ran decent though. now the problems: does this truck have a ( service engine soon light)? i see it has an emission light, it works.i hooked a code scanner to it, comes up ( vehicle not responding) tried a little code reader,( problems that must be fixed first). does anyone have a full vacuum diagram for this truck? its got half of the one on the rad support but it doesnt show every vacuum line.they have vacuum lines for egr hooked to heater, the oxygen sensor is brok off and the wire is melted to the exhaust pipe. i dont know how it ran so well, only thing i noticed was lack of power and idled extremely high when cold.so thats what i need to start, full vacuum diagram and find out if it has service engine light, any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site;
I hope we can help you out here. sounds like you have your work cut out for you.
I just visited AutoZone.com and ran your truck through the books there. They have all of the digrams that you will need to fix your ride.
As much as would like to try to talk you through it, I really can't. Too much to type, and much would get lost in the translation. So give them a visit, and let us know how else we can help you out.
See you on the boards....

your problem with the code reader could be a cut wire going to your dcl port or your ignition was off while you were trying to retrieve your codes. you should have a check engine light on that truck, most likely you have a blowen bulb, my abs light was this way, was on so long it just burnt out. can't help you on the vacum line though, sorry.
